This page is a total mess! Please bear with it for a little while!

| 1. Born out of the fires of the eon old rivalry between Colorado and Texas, trapped in the mind of a restless animation fan, subjected to the rantings of an overactive imagination gone wild, what was once less than a twinkle in a Madagascar day gecko's eye found itself transformed into an unspecified number of pages of unfettered silliness published once a month. Michael Lee Burgess presents the most unique newsletter that ever stalked the C/FO. | ||
| 2. bad newsletter image |
||
| 3. I used Liquitex in the tubes and a locally made brand of paint that I forget the name of. I bought .005mm acetate in pads and inked the lines with tech pens. | ||
| 4. bad fan art | ||
| Part Two | ||
| 1. UY 2 copyright info | ||
| 2. Now, I see Kawamori every couple of months, always in a different studio somewhere. I have never mentioned the Animage thing to him. | ||
| 3. Lemon APA #1 cover by Lea Hernandez | ||
| Part Three | ||
| 1. If I could have looked in the Time Scope I wouldn't have been so worried. I still don't know a lot of kanji by any means but the same can be said of many of the Japanese people I have worked with. There have been times when I taught them. | ||
| 2. In August 97 I met one of my Japanese teachers, who just happens to live very close to my apartment. It was quite interesting to be able to discuss things in the same language and hear old war stories about the school. It was worse than I ever though... | ||
| 3. I see him every so often now. He has mellowed out completely and now has a sense of humor. | ||
| Part Four | ||
| 1. I know that my art really isn't all that wonderful but I enjoy doing it. I get my chance to direct my own work and do my own art through TRANSCENDENCE and other CD-ROM based works so no matter how bad they may look it is very cathartic. | ||
| 2. As you may have noticed by now I write (and talk) at great length. The Web is nice because I can put in little drawings like I used to in my letters. | ||
| 3. I later assisted on a complex scene from #6 that, to this day, I think might be my best inbetweening work. | ||
| 4. There I saw my first Japanese episode of Gatchaman, which was butchered into Battle of the Planets for US release. | ||
| 5. Mote notes | ||
| Part Five | ||
| 1. In Japan you have to pay a couple months worth of rent to your landlord when you move in to a new place or renew your contract as (what amounts to) a bribe for letting you live there. Each time you renew your contract your rent automatically increases too, making the key money more as well. It's like the landlords want to punish you for renting from them. (???) | ||

| 1. I wonder to this day whether she regrets it... Glad she isn't going to read this page... | ||
