the images in the Take-Out Box Masterpiece Gallery were created by Doug Smith and Jan Scott-Frazier, each of them drawing one line or shape and the other working off that. the meals were heavy and delicious. the boxes often held magnificent desserts which the holder would consumed in a frenzy of lip-smacking, crumbs and liquids dropped onto hotel furniture and moaning.

there is a great deal of menace and violence in these images and one wonders how two non-violent people could create such works. perhaps it is as a statement that the animal lurks within us all and by eating and taking home our prey we are doing so from our subconscious more than our waking mind.

 nah, it just looks funny.
